Katy Perry was seen around London yesterday for a BBC Radio One interview and she was wearing a summery ensemble. Her polka dot dress had a red rosette detail and retro thin white belt, and she pulled the whole look together with ankle-strap platforms.

Polka dots are always classic, if a bit kitschy, so we've selected some options after the jump.

I've been looking forward to set photos from Madonna's second directorial film project, "W.E." But it looks like for at least part of her first movie role, Lourdes will be in a school uniform. Of course it's a pretty chic school uniform. It seems like they opted for less of the traditional pleated schoolgirl type skirt, and more of a straight skirt with an oversize boyfriend blazer. Artfully cuffed knee-socks accent the look - would love to have a better look at her shoes.

Nina Dobrev from "The Vampire Diaries" was one of many celebs wearing Brian Atwood shoes at the Emmy Awards. Lea Michele (whose look you can see with her Glee costars here), Sofia Vergara and Anna Paquin also wore the popular designer for some of their Emmy festivities. Soon, you can get the sought after designer's shoes too!

Brian Atwood and Jones Apparel Group have announced B Brian Atwood, a line of shoes to be sold in department stores beginning Fall 2011. The shoes will be in the $200 to $500 range, which is a bit more affordable than his usual $500 to $3000 prices.

This is pretty exciting news, I just wish we didn't have to wait so long!

For some of the youngest stars on the red carpet, the girls of Glee really delivered some classy looks at the Emmys. Lots of trends represented. Amber Riley is having a white moment, surely Rachel Zoe would approve. One of the most-talked about stars, and a just as popular trend - Lea Michele wore a navy Oscar de la Renta. Jayma Mays' Burberry ruched ribbon gown may have been the least successful of the group. The most successful? Dianna Agron by a long shot in to-die-for Carolina Herrera. Style setters' favorite sport returns next week just in time to distract us from fashion week preparations. To celebrate, Nike threw a party called the PrimeTime Knockout to get tennis stars like Maria Sharapova to show off their new night-session outfits. While her tennis dress shown is a one-off, you can find her line of tennis and workout wear at Nike.com.

It doesn't matter whether you're a dedicated mall shopper, or a high-fashion runway watcher, you should recognize model Ginta Lapina. A few years ago she was a popular face on the pages of the Delia's Catalog and Teen Vogue - which snapped her street style during Spring 2010 fashion week, above. (She's wearing a very mall-friendly ensemble - American Apparel pants and Aldo boots.) Since then, she's walked the catwalks of major fashion houses like Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu and Yves Saint Laurent. She even opened for Nina Ricci and closed the Louis Vuitton show.

I'm pretty impressed. This shot of The City's Olivia Palermo, Gossip Girl's Kelly Rutherford and Jamie Lynn Sigler of Entourage is obviously posed for PR purposes (I got it off the Henri Bendel Facebook page). Some of the women probably just had one of the Timex Originals watches shoved on their wrist seconds before - you can see from the step and repeat pictures that Jamie Lynn wasn't wearing hers when she arrived at the Henri Bendel event. And sleeves are obviously pushed up and rolled in order to best display the new line of timepieces. Yet, the girls and watches still all look so chic. The styling doesn't look contrived, which makes me think these watches would fit into a regular wardrobe very nicely.

Next time your Mom drags you into LOFT while she's looking for work clothes, you might want to check out the jewelry selection instead of popping in to Forever 21.

Aly Michalka hung out at the 2010 Supergirl Jam in Venice Beach, CA, with her Hellcats costar Robbie Jones yesterday. Her look is perfect for chilling with friends in this heat. While I sometimes lambast overly-distressed, cut-off shorts, these work really well with Aly's layered tank look because they're the only distressed element of the outfit. The pin-stripe tank is a little cuter than a plain one would have been, and it all ads up to a super fun look

Aly's new show Hellcats premieres on the CW on Sept. 8 and is sure to have lots of high school cheer fashion.
