Ombre hair? Ombre eye shadow? Ombre nails? This beauty trend has been spotted everywhere, from street style blogs to celebrities to the runways.
To get an ombre manicure: Pick a color, like OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress ($8.50 at Amazon.com), and pour a dime-sized amount into five small pots or plates. Take a white nail color, like OPI Alpine Snow ($7.99 at NailPolishPro.com), and mix it in increasing increments with the darker shade, making each one lighter than the last. Use toothpicks to mix the shades together, then take a clean nail polish brush and apply the different shades to your nails.
To get ombre eyes: Use a shadow compact like YSL Ombres Duolumieres ($41 at Sephora). Apply the lighter color to your lids, then apply the darker shade to the corners of your eyes and smudge up and to the sides with the applicator.
