P280463_hero.jpgWhether you’re shopping for your mother, sister, best friend, or yourself, you can never go wrong with a fun beauty product for Valentine’s Day. Every girl loves to pamper themselves on Feb. 14! Fortunately, you don’t have to spend a fortune to make someone smile - these gifts are all $20 or less!

A tinted moisturizer is by far one of the greatest beauty products ever invented. It evens out skin tone, adds a bit of color, covers up problem areas, gives your face a healthy does of moisture, and protects you from sun damage. It’s especially helpful in the cold, dark months of January and February when your skin can get pale and dull looking. These are our favorite tinted moisturizers - let us know in the comments if you have any suggestions of your own!

Have an amazing spring break trip planned for February, March, or April? It’s time to start prepping your skin now! Even if you won’t be lying poolside any time soon, it’s never to early to get your skin in great shape. Here are three simple tips to to acheive smooth, healthy skin asap!

1. Moisturize daily. The best time to moisturize is after you get out of the shower, so keep a bottle of body lotion in the bathroom. We love Aveeno Active Naturals Postively Nourishing 24 Hour Body Moisturizer ($9.99 at drugstore.com) because it smells great and doesn’t feel greasy after you apply.

2. Exfoliate weekly. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells to reveal brighter, smoother skin underneath! It also preps skin for a closer shave. Cake Milk Made Body Smoothing White Sugar Scrub ($30 at Sephora) is great for this purpose because it nourishes legs with milk, butter, and oil while sloughing off dry skin with sugar.

3. Shower smart. Great skin starts in the shower. Avoid super hot water, which will cause dryness. And when you towel off, pat skin dry instead of rubbing vigorously!

00230m.jpgWe were skeptical about eye gloss when celebs like Zoe Saldana were sporting it this summer, but after checking out the makeup looks from the Bottega Veneta spring 2011 runway show, we are sold. Glossy lids give your face a dewy look that appears much fresher than pencil or powder eye shadow.

Take a cue from the runway if you’re going to try this trend: keep the rest of your look natural and minimal. Use only a touch of mascara, lip gloss, and light blush, and let your hair dry by itself.

To get this look yourself, try DuWop’s Duet Gloss & Highlighter ($20 at Sephora). Two separate colors add a sheer, luminescent gloss to eyes, lips, and cheeks.
