Vanessa-Hudgens-half-topknot.jpg
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve been crushing on Vanessa Hudgens’ haute hippie style a lot lately. The effortlessly chic actress can rock whatever she wants and still look like she stepped off the pages of a Free People catalog (ugh, definitely not fair!). Yesterday was certainly no exception either. Vanessa was seen heading to lunch in LA dressed in a casual cool boho outfit with a carefree half up topknot that was just the right amount of messy. Who knows how long it actually took her to create this summery ‘do, but either way, it’s perfect for bad hair days, isn’t it!? Too cute!

Jennifer-Lawrence-bob.jpg
Wow! Jennifer Lawrence debuted a brand new, noticeably shorter ‘do at Saturday night’s GLAAD Media Awards, and apparently, the asymmetrical bob was a total last minute decision.

Her hairstylist Marc Townsend told Harper’s Bazaar: “Yesterday, Jennifer showed up an hour before call time, and as she opened the door she was like, ‘Marc I want to cut it all off.” And so he did, even cutting his own finger in the process!

While we definitely like the new ‘do (let’s be real the actress looks great no matter what), we kind of prefer Jennifer with longer hair. What do you think?
Jennifer Lawrence dark hair.jpg
And by dark side, we’re talking about Jennifer Lawrence’s hair! The actress, who was spotted high-tailing it out of a hair salon in Beverly Hills on Monday, said bye-bye to her blonde locks and hello to dark brunette strands. Looks like someone’s already getting back into her Katniss character. In fact, Jennifer is off to Hawaii to do reshoots for “The Hunger Games” sequel, “Catching Fire” (which hits theaters in November, BTW), so it totally makes sense.

Do you prefer Jennifer as a blonde or a brunette??? Tell us in the comments below!

Jessica Chastain Oscars hair.jpg
Hands down, Jessica Chastain took home the award for the best hair and makeup at this year’s Academy Awards (at least in our book anyway)! Not only do we heart her old Hollywood waves, but the strawberry blonde color of her hair contrasted perfectly against her stunning blush Armani Prive gown, that red pout and pale skin. She looked beyond gorgeous, wouldn’t you agree?
amanda-seyfried's-hair.jpg
Actress Amanda Seyfried was spotted looking perfectly polished (per usual) at the premiere of her latest film Lovelace during the Sundance Film Festival on Tuesday. Other than her impeccable outfit, we couldn’t help but notice how particularly long, lush and stunning her waves were. It’s official, she has the best head of hair in Hollywood, hands down! Whether it’s real or not is another story, but hey, who cares? We’d die for those curls any day, wouldn’t you?

Miley-Cyrus-shorter-hair.jpg
Miley Cyrus showed off her new, much shorter haircut and, of course, that tiny waist at Borgore’s Christmas Creampies concert in Hollywood on Saturday. How do you feel about her ‘do? We like it short, but we think the edginess of her initial, bleached blonde cut was way cooler, what about you?

Ke$ha-hair-and-makeup.jpg
Holy cow! We can’t even believe we’re saying this, but our girl Ke$ha completely blew us away with her stunning hair and makeup on night two of KIIS FM’s 2012 Jingle Ball. Those tousled curls and sultry eyes transformed the singer into the smoking hot bombshell we always knew she had waiting to come out.

Keep up the good work Ke$h, we definitely want to see more of this side of you!
leighton-meester-short-hair.jpg
Oh Leighton Meester, you do know how to make a girl jealous, don’t you!? The beloved Gossip Girl star looked simply stunning at the Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection launch event in NYC yesterday. As if her shorter new ‘do wasn’t sexy enough (we love how it’s styled sleeked back on the sides), that flawless red lip of hers is absolutely unreal. And those long, luscious lashes? C’mon, she couldn’t possibly get any prettier!

Kesha-side-cornrows.jpg
Ke$ha is no stranger to unusual ‘dos, but we’re not sure if we’re feeling the two random side cornrows she rocked for her performance on NBC’s “The Today Show” yesterday, are you? Tell us in the comments below!
keira-knightley-hair.jpg
Keira Knightley hit the red carpet for the LA premiere of her new film Anna Karenina on Wednesday. While her custom Erdem silk dress was indeed stunning, we couldn’t take our eyes off that elegant twisted updo. It’s so sophisticated, but fun at the same time! Wouldn’t you agree?
victoria-justice-neon.jpg
First of all, Victoria Justice is drop dead gorgeous. Second of all, we LOVE how the Fun Size actress tweeted that she chopped off her locks right before stepping out in this haute neon yellow peplum frock for the premiere of her new flick. Ah…simply stunning!

julianne-hough-hair.jpg
First Miley Cyrus, now Julianne Hough!? Okay, the 23-year-old actress’ haircut definitely wasn’t that drastic, but she did show off a new shorter do earlier this week. Just check out the pic she tweeted above. Super cute, right!?

Lea-Michele-waves.jpg
We absolutely LOVED Lea Michele’s bombshell waves at the 2012 Do Something Awards last night. They complemented her romantic, white, plunging neck Armani dress perfectly and made her look sexy yet elegant at the same time. Her smoky eye makeup was right on point too!
miley-cyrus-hair.jpg
We guess top knots are no longer an option for Miss Miley! The newly engaged pop star recently dyed her hair bright blonde, and now, courtesy of her hairstylist Chris McMillan, she’s chopped it all off. Despite the negative comments circulating the Internet, we actually think Miley’s pixie cut suits her quite well. We know we’d never be brave enough to do something so drastic, so kudos to her for daring to be different!

What do you think of Miley’s new do?

AnnaLynne-McCord-top-knot.jpg
Okay, we know the dance is a while away, but we think actress AnnaLynne McCord’s top knot is absolutely perfect for Homecoming! The 90210 star made messy look romantic by pulling out soft, sweet curls from above both ears. What do you think, would you sport this look or not?
miley-cyrus-short-hair.jpg
We’re so used to seeing Miley Cyrus with long extensions that we almost forgot what her real hair looked like. Luckily the actress gave us a peek at the LA premiere of her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth’s new film The Hunger Games last night.

We love short and wavy on Miley, don’t you?
jw-week28-beach-hair.jpgHot, humid days are finally upon us. And as excited as we are to park ourselves poolside on the weekends, we could do without some of the negative effects of the heat. Mainly, melting makeup, sweat, and puffy hair. Here are three simple tips that will keep you looking cool and collected even on summer’s hottest days!

1. Body: The secret to staying dry is to put antiperspirant on at night, before you go to bed. When you’re rushing to get ready in the morning, you often sweat off the stuff before you even get out of the house. When you apply it at night, when your body is cooler, it absorbs better. And you can swipe on an extra layer in the morning for extra protection, too!

2. Face: To avoid a beauty meltdown (literally), it’s best to skip heavy makeup in the summer. Swipe on some waterproof mascara and a tinted moisturizer, and for the most part you should be ready to go! For maintenance throughout the day, stash oil blotting sheets in your purse. They’ll mop up excess oil without smudging your makeup.

3. Hair: Summer is a good time to embrace your natural hair texture, so if your hair is wavy, spritz in some curling spray. If it’s straight, skip the curling iron and let it dry naturally. If you plan to wear your hair up, keep front strands out of your face with a cute side braid a la Lauren Conrad.jw-week28-beach-hair.jpg

frizz.jpgApril showers bring May flowers, but they also bring on frizzy hair! Fight the frizz with these tips from stylist Nick Arrojo, owner of Arrojo Studio in NYC:

- Use a frizz serum to smooth hair. “Make sure to focus the defrizz serum towards the mid-lengths and especially the ends,” Arrojo says. Looking for a product suggestion? We love Ouidad’s Shine Glaze Serum ($20 at Sephora).

- Switch up your hair style for a cut that is easier to maintain on a daily basis. “Any cut that is short to mid-length with a good, solid shape will suit extremely frizzy hair perfectly,” Arrojo exmplais. “These cuts won’t alter your hair texture, but the strong shapes will get you looking polished and pulled together.”

- Deep condition. Arrojo suggests packing a shower cap with leave-in conditioner and leaving it on wet hair for ten minutes. “This is a great way to lock in the moisture-giving benefits of hte product,” he says. Aussie Leave-In Conditioner ($4.49 at drugstore.com) is our budget-friendly pick that will leave your hair soft and shiny!frizz_s2011_thumb.gif

retrowaves11_dior.jpgThe retro-inspired waves spotted on models at Christian Dior’s spring 2011 runway show are super-chic and perfect for prom. The style is glam enough for your big night and a great alternative to your typical updo. To get the look yourself, start with blow dried hair and apply a glossing product. Use a curling iron to twist small sections of hair into curls, and pin them with bobby pins. Let the style sit for about 15 minutes before removing the bobby pins and gently brushing curls out. retrowaves11_thumb.jpg

oliveoil1.jpegOlive oil is an amazing moisturizer for dried out hair during the winter. It’s affordable, you probably already have it in your kitchen, and it’s easy to use! With wet hair, heat up 1 tablespoon of oil and massage it into your scalp and ends. Wrap your hair in a plastic bag, secure it, and let it soak in for about 30 minutes. When you are done, rinse your hair and shampoo and condition as you normally would. Your hair will look and feel healthier - no fancy moisturizing treatments needed!oliveoilthumb.png
