One Direction humbly compare themselves to The Beatles

After watching a film on The Beatles, One Direction members have decided the two acts are quite alike. Hmm. As I recall The Beatles played instruments, wrote all their own music and lyrics and rarely choreographed aerobics routines/dance numbers. In that they have slavishly devoted teenage fans and are a powerful pop act, yes, they are like The Beatles. But so are a lot of pop acts by that criteria. A comparison to Boyz II Men or the New Kids On the Block would be more appropriate. 

To their credit, the boys seemed to be saying that their personalities were similar to those of The Beatles. “”We watched that film of The Beatles when they first touched down in America and we saw a real likeness with our personalities,” Harry Styles told the Daily Star.
