Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America have made a big show of being concerned about the welfare of young models, and in order to put their money where their mouth is they both pledged not to use or encourage the use of models under 16 years old in runway and print.

Karl Lagerfeld has chosen the 15, maybe now 16-year-old, for his Spring 2013 Chanel campaign also starring
Stella Tennant and shooting in New York. This is after
Vogue China violated the health initiative by shooting the model when she was 15, and
Marc Jacobs used her on his runway when she was 14.
