Lady Gaga bullied by media for perceived weight gain

As Lady Gaga embarks on her new tour, internet and print media outlets across the globe have chosen to turn the conversation from her performances to her less slim body. I chose a photo from Gaga’s recent Macy’s appearance where she’s a bit covered up on purpose. The story here isn’t “has she gained weight?” but “why is everyone being so nasty about it?”

Jezebel’s Dodai Stewart writes a thoughtful commentary on the issue here (link contains profanity), and there are also examples of the mean headlines, and yes - photos of the singer looking more voluptuous.
