Hollywood's under-21 beauties were poised and elegant at the Metropolitan Museum's annual Costume Institute Gala in honor of the museum's new exhibit, "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity."

Taylor Swift went for an American classic, with her beaded ivory Ralph Lauren gown. Also looking ethereal in white, Emma Watson socialized at the Burberry table with Claire Danes and other famous fashion photographer, Mario Testino. Kirsten Stewart looked like a gothic vixen in her glittery black Chanel dress.
Budding actresses Lily Collins and Emma Roberts were equally fashion-forward in their short and sweet dresses. See more photos of all the dresses here.
