Lately it’s been Katherine McPhee’s hair getting all the attention. (And I’m glad she’s returned to a darker hue.) But at the US Weekly Hot Hollywood Awards it was her understated but glamorous makeup that caught my eye.
mark Celebrity Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg gave the lowdown on how to get the look which would be great for proms or graduation parties.
To prep her eyes, I started by applying Please Hold Eye Primer followed by a light dusting of I-Mark custom Pick eye Shadow in Whisper under the brow and Latte on the lid and crease,” Greenberg said. “I then placed a dab of mark Crystal Shimmer Luminous Loose Powder in Bronzette to each eye lid to give a gorgeous texture. Next, I used On The Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner in Cleo to outline the upper lash line, followed by applying Eyemarker Color On Line in Java to the bottom lashes and smudged outwards. I finished off Katharine’s eyes by curling her lashes and applying two coats of Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara in Blacklash concentrating on the outside corner lashes to really open up the eyes.”

"I prepped her face by applying For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 to wake up the skin. I then used Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Nude to get that porcelain glow and even-skin look. I lightly dabbed a little Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer to hide any imperfections or under eye circles. To complete her face I applied Just Pinched Instant Blush in Nude to the apples of her cheeks and Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Prettied Up on her cheekbones. I recommend avoiding powder makeup when you really want the skin to glow. Instead, to get rid of any excess oils in the t-zone area, I use Cheat Sheet Shine-Blotters"
For lips, Greenberg applied Totally Balmed SPF 15 Tinted Lip Balm in Totally Hot. All products are by mark.
