Miley Cyrus looked pretty rock and roll at the Grammy Awards Sunday in a Herve Leger mini dress and flowy rock star hair.
Omar Lopez, celebrity stylist and creative director for Sultra styling irons tells us how to recreate the look. He recommends the Sultra creative styling iron, $255 at Sephora, because of its convex and concave plates to help create the perfect wave. But of course you can try it with whatever straightening/styling iron you have at home, too.
"First, take a one inch section of hair and gently clamp down between the plates," he said. "Next, rotate iron half a turn downward as you slowly glide through 1/3 of the hair. Keeping the plates closed, turn the iron one full turn upward and continue gliding through the next 1/3 of the hair."
Turn the iron another full turn downward to finish the section, turning under at the ends.
"Repeat on each section to create sexy, sultry waves!" Lopez said.
Obviously, Miley is probably wearing extensions at this event, or has grown her hair really really long, so just adjust how many waves you try to incorporate into each section based on your own hair length. This look is definitely best for longer-than-shoulder-length hair.
