The AMA's and Adam Lambert Controversy Continues

comments
adamlambert_cover.jpgAmerican Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, is still taking the heat for his racy performance (aside from him also taking a tumble just like Jennifer Lopez) at the American Music Awards on Sunday evening. After ABC received 1500 complaints regarding his performance, they cut his appearance on Good Morning America that was scheduled for this morning.

Luckily, you can still catch him today on The Early Show. CBS is wise to know that Adam will bring in ratings, hello!

It's interesting to hear the singer's take on the whole situation. Typically, we are used to hearing about gender biases from the female perspective. But this time around it's a man dishing out the words.

In an interview given to Rolling Stone magazine, Adam says, "Female performers have been doing this for years - pushing the envelope about sexuality - and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out. We're in 2009 - it's time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people's eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I'm not for them. My goal was not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom."

Looks like we have the new male Madonna on our hands!

Adam's solo album, For Your Entertainment, is available in stores and on iTunes now.
