Whitney Port is back again with her perfect hair, darn her, and a pretty cool collection of prints. Port mixes polka dots on top with a lace-print skirt for the PIX Morning Show in New York City.
There are a couple reasons this works. First of all, the lace print is so all-over that it almost functions as a solid. If you're going to mix prints it's best to mix one small and one large, or one bold and one more uniform - like the lace. Secondly these prints are both the same shade of blue on black, giving them a consistant appearance. Not that all prints have to be the same colors to mix, but it helps if one of the colors in each print is black, at the very least, and that there aren't too many colors going on overall.

She definitely pulled the look off! I happen to love the mixed print look but I am too chicken to do it on my own! But when you come from a small town like I do... people tend to think you are crazy rather than the next fashion guru!
