GW_AngelinaWriter.jpgAngelina Jolie has penned another editorial for The Washington Post. Angie has written in the past about her trips to Iraq to help define the growing problem of internally displaced citizens. We really like reading her reports. She's straightforward and honest, making it really easy to understand the issues she's writing about.

We have to wonder though....does someone help her when she writes? If not, we're seriously impressed.

We loved piperlime.com from the moment it debuted last year, mainly because of it's wonderful free shipping/free returns policy and of course its great selection of shoes. And now the buzz is there will soon be even more reasons to shop there.

Handbags!

The Gap-owned site has set up shop with popular brands including Hobo International, Linea Pelle, Treesje and there are even a few higher-end designers like Marc by Marc Jacobs and Furla and even Botkier (and don't worry, the free shipping/free returns policy still stands).

Don't you think it would be awesome if they set up a handbag outlet on the site and sold bags from previous Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy collections?

Check out the sneak peak.

GW_ChrisMarch.jpgOfficially, Chris March was eliminated from Project Runway and is no longer in contention for the win, but he still got to show his entire collection in the tents at Bryant Park during Fashion Week (despite Heidi Klum clearly telling him he would not show on Wednesday's episode).

Chris showed his collection (along with Sweet P) as decoy designers to keep the final three a mystery until now. We won't see his design during next week's finale, but we've got a glimpse of his runway looks here.

And does the first model wearing a Mona Lisa print dress look familiar? She should! It's Bianca from the last cycle of America's Next Top Model.
Q.  I love the shirtdresses that are in trend this spring, but I'm having a difficult time finding one that I like in my size. I wear plus sizes, and the dresses I see in the stores look like something from my grandma's closet. Do you have any suggestions on where to find plus-sized shirtdresses that look trendy, instead of elderly?

A.  Plus-sized clothing doesn't have to be boring. Check out StyleBakery's Sweet Sites for Special Sizes; there are some great shops and department stores online that carry clothing for teens with curves. In addition to plus-sizes, look for extended-sizes in the Junior department. Also, if you don't see plus-sizes at your favorite store in the mall, check out the store's website. There's a chance that plus-sizes and extended-sizes are exclusive to the online store.

Here are some shirtdresses with modern details that will keep you looking gorgeous, not grandmotherly.

LeightonMeesterred.jpg

Oops. Just after we applauded Leighton Meester for not pairing a red accent with a black and white outfit, she does just that.

Even though her red belt is completely expected, it is still a nice addition to her classic black high-waisted pencil skirt and white ruffled blouse.

Her hair is perfectly styled and her makeup is simple and fresh. The whole look is really refined so we still approve.
